What Our Readers Say.

This delightful story, seemingly so innocuous, is full of wonderful messages for both parents and children about emotions and intentions gone awry and then repaired.

As I read the story a second time I am struck by the clear prose and the messages conveyed by the prose. This is a book that all parents of toddlers and young children should be reading with their children. This also happens to be a book that I expect to use and recommend to parents of the families I treat because it brings up such important topics about how to express anger, disappointment, love and other emotions. Finally, as a terrific added bonus, the “Note to Parents,” and the “Note to Children,” provide guidance about the story and how to begin a conversation with each other about the story. This truly is a must read book.
